    Optic  Series


               Introduction
               The fibers are placed in a loose tube made of PBT. The tubes are                       PE Sheath
               filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire sometimes                     PSP
               sheathed with PE for cable with high fiber count, locates in the                          Fiber
               center of core as a metallic strength member. Tubes (and fillers)             Tube Filling Compound
               are stranded around the strength member into a compact and                            Loose tube
               circular cable core. The cable core is filled with the filling compound            CSM-steel Wire
               to protect it from water ingress, over which a thin PE inner sheath                       Filler
               is applied. After the PSP is longitudinally applied over the inner                 PE Inner Sheath
               sheath, the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.
